Academics and Community
The Department of Academics and Community promotes academic and social excellence of students from diverse populations, including students of Ethiopian descent, Haredi students, students from Arab society, students serving in the IDF reserves, the Atidim program and the “Hesegim for High-tech program.
The department encourages students to take part in social programs, enrichment courses and community volunteering in exchange for academic credits. It also promotes an experiential learning environment and culturally oriented activities as a platform for the diverse voices and identities in society.
The Department of Academics and Community operates in full collaboration with Bar-Ilan’s academic faculty and administrative staff, as well as establishments outside the university, recognizing that partnerships are a means of forging and deepening ties between academia and the community.
